What I Want to Know!
There are a great deal of famous artists and much information. I picked seven artists from the Italian Renaissance and what I am interested in knowing about them. I would like to know when Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Tintoretto, Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Raphael were born and when they died. I am curious about why Caravaggio killed someone. Did he try to repent? How did the Italian artists from the Renaissance affect modern art? What types of art did they affect? How did people feel about the artist’s work when they were alive? Did any of the artists inspire each other? Did those artists from back then inspire any of the current artists in the world? Which artists work seems the most similar to modern-day artwork? Which artist had the most unusual historical background? What were the forms of art that they all worked with? Examples of bases are sculptors, paintings, architecture, etc.. Which artist caused the most uproar with their artwork in the time period that they lived in? There are many questions to help with my research, and these are some of the basic questions to begin with.
Background Information
Throughout all of time art has always been present, affecting the way people think and see things. Art has been around since the caveman, and they had their own type of artwork; it was called cave painting. They mostly depicted hunts and the cave people themselves. Ever since the beginning of humanity, humans have been obsessed with their own images and have wanted to create more accurate artwork. In a sense, we are very vain beings, which is why almost all of the most famous paintings and sculptors portray images of human form. Some sculptures are the Statue of Liberty and the Venus de Milo. Two famous paintings are the Mona Lisa and the Birth of Venus. Humans are controlled by fantasy; they draw, paint, sculpt, photograph, and create an image of beauty that is virtually unattainable. Art is a way for people to express their wants and needs, which is why it will always exist and affect people’s minds.

The Story Behind My Topic
I chose my topic because I have always been interested in art, and I like learning about the Renaissance. I believe that once someone creates a work of art and it is seen by others, it greatly affects them. In the world of art, even though a lot of art is based on historical events, a majority of the actual artwork is just self-expression; there is no rhyme or rhythm to it. I chose the following seven artists because I was looking through all the artists from the Renaissance time period and these seven artists had the most interesting artwork/ history. To me art is a way to show how I think or feel, when I cannot say it. It portrays how my mind works, what I want, and it is a way for me to achieve something that is impossible.
My family often traveled from the time when I was seven to thirteen. We never stayed in one place more than one year, sometimes even less. We were a small family of four people. My parents and my sister, and I made up our small little group. Whenever I fought with my sister, I was alone because my parents were always at work. I would get angry, and I did not really have people I could talk to because we could not verbally communicate due to our language barriers. Since I could not talk like everyone else, I drew instead. I have been drawing since I was about four years old, and it has helped me get through some hard times.
